About Granny NANNIES of Jacksonville, FL
Granny Nannies of Jacksonville was founded in 2009 by Bruce Troll and has become one of the leading home care agencies in north and central Florida. The journey to becoming an owner was not an obvious one, but Bruce embraced the passion and commitment it took to build a business from scratch, which now successfully and caringly helps and serves elderly and disabled people in many different capacities by assisting them to have the best quality of life.
After graduating from Lafayette College with a B.S. in Math and meeting his future wife, Patty of 30 years, Bruce started his career as an actuary with Aetna Life. Finding this path unrewarding he left it and returned to his roots of working in retail in the family business located in the small quaint Village of Mt. Kisco, NY. While owning a business for over 20 years, interacting with customers as an expert antique clock repairman, gemologist, appraiser and jeweler was fulfilling, the economy took a toll on the family business forcing Bruce to find another career path. Bruce always had a passion for helping people and a lot of experience managing people in the business world, so when the opportunity to start a Granny Nannies in Jacksonville presented itself, Bruce knew this was where his energy should be focused and he never looked back.
Bruce is an active member of his church, mentors aspiring entrepreneurs at the local career center and is a proud father of Lindsay, a UF graduate (GO GATORS!). Bruce and his office feel it is vital to give back to the community and love being a part of the Granny Nanny family and look forward to serving the residents of Alachua, Columbia, and surrounding counties for many years to come.
