No. Medicare does not cover non-skilled, non-medical, or custodial home care services in most cases.
Medicare typically only pays for services provided by skilled practitioners such as physicians, nurses, physical and occupational therapists, etc. Medicare-covered services have to be prescribed by a physician, the patient needs to be considered homebound, and the visits (approx. 3x/week, 45-50 mins/visit depending on the nature of the visit) are generally only permitted for up to 60 days.
Many patients receiving Medicare Home Care Services often need additional help with day-to-day living tasks that are not covered by Medicare. However, Granny NANNIES can bridge the gap between what Medicare doesn’t cover and what those patients need.

Sometimes. Unfortunately, most people don’t meet the terms set forth by the program. There are very specific requirements (age, income, assets, need, lack of a caregiver, etc) that have to be satisfied to qualify and the waiting list is quite long (3k+). If you do qualify for the program, you would need to find another provider as Granny NANNIES does not participate in the Florida Medicaid Managed Care Long-Term Care Program.
